Full Day Camel Tour
 

Option 1 - No overnight

If you have decided not to sleep in the desert, you tour from Rum Village to Rum Village on camel.

Info/organization:

The tour starts at 9 am in winter time and at 10 am in summer time. You have also the possibility to arrive in the evening and start the tour the next day after your breakfast.
We meet in a parking lot (Rest House) at the beginning of the village. We will wait for you 30 minutes before the start of the tour. We welcome you and introduce your guide upon arrival. We also go through trip schedule and answer any question you might want to ask before heading to the desert. 

You will be visiting : 

Lawrence Spring - The Sand Dune - Khazali Canyon - The Little Bridge - Lawrence House - Anfashieh Inscriptions

 

First, we visit Lawrence Spring where you can climb up the rocks and enjoy lovely views of the landscape. 

In this place, you can find sources of water that come from the mountains. Nowadays, the water is used mostly for animals such as camels and goats.Next, we continue to the Red Sand Dune where many movies were shot and the view is absolutely breathtaking. Nearby can be found Khazali Canyon where you can discover some very old Nabatean inscriptions.

Next stop is a famous spot named The Little Bridge. As its name suggest, this natural rock formation is a must see here. You can stop to have some tea and then climb up to and take a picture. Before leaving for the lunch break you discover one last site called Lawrence House. It is said Lawrence of Arabia used it while in Wadi Rum.  The last place of our trek is Anfashieh Inscriptions before heading back to Rum Village.

Option 2 - Overnight stay in the camp/Wild camping

 

Night in the camp - If you need more comfort and a bed to rest your head but still want to have a nice desert Bedouin atmosphere you can sleep in our Bedouin camp, with no light smog nearby, no noise, just tranquility, stars and breathtaking nature sceneries. You spend the night in a lovely private tent and  traditional dinner will be served in a cozy atmosphere by the fire. A delicious buffet breakfast prepared with local ingredients will be served.

 

Wild camping - You spend the night next to a crackling fire with your guide, who will prepare a delicious dinner. We enjoy the night camp-free in the desert away from any touristic places. We provide mattresses and blankets for your unforgettable night under the sparkling stars. Jerry cans are provided with water for personal hygiene and so is bottled water.

Then, we continue our tour to the Red Sand Dune where many movies were shot and the view is breathtaking. Located nearby is Khazali Canyon which offers some very old Nabatean inscriptions. The last place or our tour is El Qattar Spring. This natural spring flows from a mountain and you can see what the Bedouins have set up to retain the water. There is a Bedouin Graveyard and a lovely view across the valley. In the middle of tour we stop for tea and lunch break.

Additional information: 

  • The 5 JD per person entrance fee to Wadi Rum Protected area is NOT included (you must pay an entry fee in the visitors centre which is 6 km from our meeting point, if you have Jordan Pass the fee is included in the pass or free of charge with the Jordanian passport)

  • Traveling with children: Children under 3 are free of charge, children aged 4 to 9 50% off, children aged 10 to 14 25% off

  • For an additional night in the camp add 25 JD, as for an additional night of wild camping add 35 JD 

  • The mentioned prices are for private tours, for shared tours is - 5 JD per person from original price
